3. AI assisted searching and matching, people can describe the type of artists they are looking for in natural language and the system uses AI to generate results and recommendations.

Challenges
The first challenge is to build the platform.
The second challenge is to gain traction so that both the supply (the artists) and the demand (businesses/people) are on this platform for job searching and matching.
Our Story
Ever since I was a child, I wanted to be an actress. My life didn't go down that route, however I still want to do acting at least once in my life. In summer 2023 while I was living in London, I took the chance to do a professional portfolio shoot for potential acting work advertised on Instagram. I went in without knowing anything about the industry and had low expectations. Well, of course... I am pretty sure that I was scammed, I learnt that there are layers and layers of agencies in the middle in order for people to reach job opportunities in this industry, and you had to pay a fee to access the list of job opportunities that the agencies hold. Basically, all they provide is the list of jobs that are available in their database and it is very difficult to even search for jobs since there are thousands of them and the searching interface is of course terrible.
I realized that the current job matching process in the entertainment industry is broken. That's when the idea came to me. What if you don't have to rely on any agency to reach potential work opportunities?
To validate my idea, I also asked a few dancers and they face similar issues. Currently, there is no platform for them to effectively do job search.
To my best knowledge, the artists get jobs from:
1. Posting their portfolio on Instagram
2. Agencies that represent them
3. Their own friends network
On the other hand, businesses who are looking for artists often rely on agencies and they don't have access to the talent pool nor a platform to manage hiring systematically in one place. Linkedin is not an option, almost no artists use Linkedin.
These are pain points for both artists and people who are hiring for artists, artists also often work on a project basis, so they need constantly to look for future work to support themselves.
I want to address this issue by providing a platform where job search for artists and hiring artists made easy. I want to bring artists to the world.
